Coffee 101

What's in the cup?

Coffee names mean different things around the world. Here's exactly what you'll get when you order each drink from us.

Looking for a regular cup of coffee?

Order Drip Coffee. An Americano is espresso mixed with hot water. It's similar in strength but tastes bolder and roastier.

Cortado

Espresso + equal steamed milk

A double shot of espresso cut with an equal amount of warm steamed milk and very little foam. Small, smooth and strong, between an espresso and a flat white.

Double Espresso

2 shots

Also called a doppio. Twice the coffee, same small cup. Every espresso drink on our menu starts from shots pulled by hand.

Flat White

Espresso + velvety milk

Espresso with a smaller amount of silky steamed milk and a very thin layer of foam. Comes in an 8 ounce cup. Stronger coffee flavor than a latte. A favorite with Australians and Kiwis.

Cappuccino

Espresso + milk + thick foam

Espresso with steamed milk and a deep cap of airy foam. Lighter and foamier than a latte.

Latte

Espresso + lots of milk

Espresso with plenty of steamed milk and a thin layer of foam. Smooth and mellow. Add any flavor, like macadamia or coconut.

Mocha

Espresso + chocolate + milk

A latte with added chocolate. Choose from classic mocha or white chocolate mocha if you want something sweeter.

Iced Latte

Espresso + cold milk + ice

Espresso poured over cold milk and ice. Our most popular way to drink coffee in the Waikiki heat.

Cold Brew

Steeped cold, 12+ hours

Coffee grounds steeped in cold water for more than 12 hours, then served over ice. Bold, smooth, chocolatey, and less bitter. Try it with coconut sweet cream.

Matcha Latte

Green tea + milk

Stone-ground Japanese green tea whisked and layered with milk. Earthy and lightly sweet.

No coffee Iced

Chai Latte

Spiced tea + milk

Black tea with warm spices like cinnamon, anise, and cardamom, mixed with milk. Try our Macadamia Chai, the drink guests re-order most.
